what are we doing here?

Improvisation – bravely jumping into pleasure

In my courses we improvise with movement, voice and language … always looking for what is most pleasurable, most interesting. We ask questions we usually don’t have time to ask ourselves:

  • What am I interested in?
  • What do I notice?
  • What makes me happy?
  • What is my voice doing?
  • Where do I find adventure?

We create abstract movement, songs and  stories: profound or silly, silent or loud, comical or tragic. Our search is driven by curiosity and the pleasure to communicate and enjoy.

In my workshops and classes we play with movement, sound and language so you can discover your very own style and aesthetic… always looking for what is most interesting, most curious and pleasurable. We may create abstract stories, whimsical dances, profound poems or silly songs.

My workshops are for all those who are interested in improvisation, no matter if you are a beginner or more experienced. Only prerequisite is wanting to enjoy moving, sounding and playing with language.

In small groups, by yourself or as a whole group we playfully expand our movement vocabulary, our voices and our imagination. We learn tricks on how to handle “uninspired” moments. The focus always lies in discovering and enjoying ones own aesthetic.
